Mission Support Structure
(for Missionaries Outside the Cooperative Program)
Redeemer Fellowship Baptist Church exists to love the nations through the proclamation of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ both near and far. We believe this to be the only hope for our world. In every aspect of our missional efforts, we will seek to make disciples through evangelism, baptism, and teaching; always aiming to teach others to obey the Lord and all He commanded. We will partner with those who share our doctrinal convictions, exhibit godly character, demonstrate ministry competence/training, and agree to regular encouragement and accountability. Our priorities for missional efforts will be directed toward the planting of new churches, as well as impacting unreached people.
Sending Church
Redeemer will be a sending church for the following:
Member of RFBC.
Upon examination by elders, judged to be biblically qualified for commissioning by the church:
godly character
doctrinal convictions
ministry competence
Pursuing a mission in line with RFBC’s mission priority of: (1) church planting or direct local church support on the field, and/or (2) work among unreached or least-reached peoples.
Has received training, either through a mission agency or through guided study with our pastors.
As a sending church, our missionaries will be given a full spectrum of support from RFBC at the highest level:
prayer
finances
short-term teams
regular encouragement and accountability
Supporting Church
Redeemer will be a supporting church for the following:
Member of RFBC or non-member in alignment on doctrine and missions philosophy.
Judged to be biblically qualified to serve and adequately trained, though not evaluated as extensively as if we were the sending church.
In addition to prayer and the possibility of short-term assistance teams, the missionaries we support will receive financial support.
Encouraging Church
Without committing to be a sending or supporting church, Redeemer may still wish to encourage a member, or non-member with affinity, in his or mission efforts. Our encouragement will be given in the form of prayer and the possibility of one-time or occasional financial gifts.
