Our Story

In early 2019, the pastors of Concord Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN began to seek the Lord's will for future ministry in regard to a church plant. Concord desired to see the kingdom of Christ advanced and his grace extended to those who might never enter a church like their own. A vision for a new church plant began to emerge. Like Concord, this new congregation would value expositional preaching, Christ-exalting intergenerational worship, and a plural elder leadership. The church would function as a family: serving one another, loving their neighbors and the nations, and making disciples for Jesus.

We rejoice that after three years of much focused effort and prayer, eighteen families received the Lord’s call upon their lives to become local missionaries in North Georgia. In October 2021, this new church plant named Redeemer Fellowship Baptist Church was sent out into Catoosa County with the love and support of their Concord family.

Our Mission

We exalt Christ, who has redeemed us from our brokenness. When gathering together, we lift Him high through the faithful teaching of God’s Word, through heartfelt singing, and through the unifying celebration of the Lord’s Supper and baptism. This is our collective worship to Christ, our Redeemer.

We serve one another through strengthening the body of Christ and investing in our community. Since we have been restored by His grace and redeemed by His mercy, we make disciples, equip families, and forge relationships. This is our daily delight, growing alongside our neighbors.

We love the nations by proclaiming the Good News of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. The gospel, which is freely given to all people, propels us to share the story of redemption both near and far. This is our bold message of hope for the world.

Our Church Covenant

The Father has set His love on us, and the Son has clothed us in righteousness and redeemed us for Himself. Having been led by the Spirit of God to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and having been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we joyfully commit ourselves to affirm this covenant with one another, as the body of Christ called Redeemer Fellowship Baptist Church.

In all we do, it will be our aim to glorify God and enjoy the gift of salvation, for from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. I Corinthians 10:31, Romans 11:36

We will eagerly seek to maintain the bond of unity and peace by walking together in love, putting away all bitterness and anger, speaking the truth to one another in love, and caring for the welfare and sanctification of Christ’s body. Ephesians 4:1-3, 31, Galatians 5:16, I Peter 2:1

We will carry each other’s burdens, rejoicing with those who rejoice and weeping with those who weep. Galatians 6:2, Romans 12:15

We will not neglect to meet with one another, but will treasure the preaching of the Word, the faithful observance of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and the exercise of church discipline which has the restoration of faithful living as its aim. Hebrews 10:25, Acts 2:38-42, Matthew 18:15-17, II Timothy 4:2

We will contribute generously and cheerfully to the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the advancement of the gospel both to our neighbors and the nations. Matthew 28:19, Luke 12:33, II Corinthians 9:7

We will encourage family and personal devotions and seek to train our children in the instruction and discipline of the Lord, attempting to walk in our family life in a manner that adorns the gospel of Jesus Christ. Proverbs 22:6, Ephesians 6:1-4, I Peter 3:1, Romans 13:13

We agree, should we move from this area, we will unite with another church as soon as possible in order to carry out the principles of this covenant in obedience to God’s Word.

In all these things, we rely upon our God who has established His everlasting covenant with us.
