Meet Our Leadership Team

  • Pastor Chris Gaither

Chris was born and raised in Rossville, GA  just off of Missionary Ridge. While a college student at U.T.C., he was activated with his TN National Guard unit and served in Operation Desert Storm. Just a few days before shipping out to Iraq, he married Shan, his fifth grade sweetheart. Now married over 30 years, they are the proud parents of two girls, one son, and the grandparents of one... so far.

In addition to his undergraduate degree from U.T.C., Chris has graduated from Southwestern Seminary in TX, and Southern Seminary in Louisville. In one capacity or another, Chris has served in vocational ministry since 1991. An avid runner who has completed over a dozen marathons, as well as finishing the IronMan in Chattanooga, Chris is overjoyed to be a part of the pastoral team and core group called to Redeemer Fellowship Baptist Church.

  • Pastor Bill Horton

Bill was born in Mississippi and came to faith in Christ at about 10 years of age. He received an undergraduate degree in Biology, and then in 1983, married his sweetheart, Terri. They soon had a son, moved to West Virginia for medical school, and then relocated to Columbus, OH for a four year medical residency program. There Bill trained in internal medicine. He practiced medicine in his home state for five years before moving to North Georgia in 1997, where he’s been a practicing physician ever since.

Bill served as a lay pastor at Concord Baptist Church from 2010-2021. He and Terri have four grown children and have been blessed with eight grandchildren.

  • Pastor Mark Mims

By God’s grace, Mark came to know the Lord as a boy around the age of 6. He and his wife Joy married in December 2002, and have been blessed with three children ranging from elementary to high school age.

Mark is originally from Warner Robins, GA, but has called Catoosa County home since 2007. He served as a “Pastoral Care” bivocational pastor during his early ministry, and then he served as a lay pastor at Concord Baptist Church from 2014-2020. Currently, Mark works as a Business Analyst for a mobile phone company in the area, and in his spare time he enjoys running and hiking with his family in the Chickamauga Battlefield.

How can we help?
